Answer: The answer to this is that you must "Safely Remove" your USB device before unplugging it from your computer.
If you do not know how to do this, follow below:
Go to the icon on your taskbar near your time in the bottom right (Windows) and right click the "Safely Remove Hardware" button. A picture is on this link.
http://im go to safely remove then highlight your USB device and HIT STOP, as shown below.
